Gaming Addiction

(& Anxiety)

Our Approach to

Gaming Addiction

Parents are often scared of their children’s gaming behavior and worry that their kids are “addicted”.

The truth is that only a small number of kids and teens are addicted to gaming. Most kids and families, however, struggle to find a balance.  Excessive gaming can also be utilized to hide from bigger problems like bullying, anxiety, and depression.  Our tools are designed to help parents, teenagers and young adults assess the severity of the problem. A full blow addiction needs more dramatic intervention, but problematic use is also important to unearth.

Our approach is not  to ban gaming but to better understand how the young person is using the gaming and help parents to calmly assess the situation.

Our assessment includes questions around Anxiety.
